Maggiano's Little Italy...Incredible! Your taste buds will POP!!

I did a close-up show at this restaurant a few years back and have been wanting to eat here since!

The food tasted as good as it looked!  I ate there with 8 other people.  The waitress recommended "family style" eating.  However, I opted for the menu, as I didn't want the cream sauces, fried calamari, chicken, etc. - besides, I really wanted to taste their Eggplant Parm.

There was soooo much food that the others took enough back for another meal to feed 5/6 people!

The eggpIant parm - and I don't say this lightly, but it was the best I've ever had.  The sauce/gravy was incredible!  Tangy, rich and all so flavorful!

For a Chain restaurant, they are fantastic!  Check out their web site for one near you!

Kazoooom! What a yummy appetizer!!

This is a great appetizer to bring to a party!  Careful, though...so delicious it can be addictive!

Brie Cheese with puff pastry, Apricot Preserves and toasted Almonds!

Ingredients:

A container of Brie Cheese
Frozen package of Puff Pastry Strips
A jar of Natural Apricot Preserves
Sliced Almonds (approx. 3/4 cup)
1 egg white

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees

Defrost the Puff Pastry, lay it flat on some parchment paper; criss/cross. Place the Brie in the center, Make a criss cross slice in the Brie and place the apricot preserves in the center and on top.  Whisk the egg white and paint it over the pastry.  Spread the almonds on top.

Place in the oven for about 10-12 minutes.  But keep an eye on it as you don't want the pastry or the almonds to burn.  Remove from oven, remove the parchment paper and place the appetizer in a pie dish.  Serve with crackers.

Yum!!!

A New High!!! If you like Seafood and you're near Chesapeake City, MD....

Went for a ride through the twisty, winding curves of Chester County, yesterday.  Stopped at a new restaurant.  One word..."WOW!"

It is Schaefers Canal House Restaurant!  Fresh seafood, enormous crab cakes and beautiful scenery, too!

I had the Crab Soup and the Seafood Salad.  Huge lumps of crab in the soup, the salad was loaded with lump crab meat, shrimp and lobster with a light champagne dressing.

We were seated outside on this beautiful day and saw the boats coming in and out.

Super place to eat!!  Check it out!!!
